Scoring

1. To enter a trophy in the contest, the antlers of the trophy must be scored by an approved Brenham KC Big Buck measurer. Animals will be scored during each Sunday Evening starting on 11/06/2011 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm @ the Brenham KC Hall on South Horton Loop in Brenham, TX. If you are unable to make it to the scoring location on scoring day than contact Rick @ 979-251-4543 the contest will end with the close of each regular season for Texas.
2. The last scoring date for each area is 1 week after the season ends. The Gross Non Typical Boone & Crockett scoring guidelines will be used to determine scores except where otherwise noted.
3. All bucks from Texas MUST HAVE the cape attached to the head. Any set of antlers that are submitted without the cape attached (skull cap and antlers only) will automatically be entered into the Open Division
4. Scores will be based upon full, Gross Non Typical B&C score, except as noted elsewhere within contest rules. Except for a "full velvet" trophy, no deducts of any kind will be taken from the animal's gross score. If a trophy brought in for scoring is in "velvet", it will be scored with velvet. The velvet measured score will then be reduced by 5 % percent to get the "official" Brenham KC score. If the hunter chooses, he may "scrape the velvet off' and have the antlers re-scored. If the antlers are scraped and re-scored, the "scraped" score will be the official Brenham KC score.
5. Pieces of broken antler points that obviously belong to a certain buck that are brought in (during the competition period) for scoring, will be considered for measurement by Brenham KC Score, on an individual basis. Official measurements on any trophy to be entered must be turned in to the Brenham KC within 2 weeks from date of kill which rolls into closet scoring weekend of the 2 week period.

Note:

1. No Scoring Christmas or New Year’s Weekend
2. Your Entry Must be entered within 2 (TWO) weeks or 2 (TWO) scoring week-ends of the date of your harvest or it is not eligible. Christmas and New Year’s weeks are not included / counted in 2 week period.
